Competition Development Coaches focus on improving athlete skills for competition in specific disciplines. The equestrians being coached by Competition Development Coaches are working in one specific discipline with access to horses matching their skill level, competing on a regular basis at national and international levels. Candidates must be working for 2+ years with athletes in the context: Human Athlete: Highly proficient (consistently achieving 4 faults or less) at 1.20m (or above) at Gold and Platinum Events. Equine Athlete: Fully trained to execute shoulder in, leg yield ,counter canters, simple transition changes, bending lines, roll backs and perform at 1.20m (or above). Competition Development Coaches are working with these equestrians to refine their show quality riding skills supported by exceptional fitness, psychological readiness and an integrated support team working towards podium success in Olympic and non-Olympic disciplines.
