Competition Development Coaches focus on improving athlete skills for competition in specific disciplines. The equestrians being coached by Competition Development Coaches are working in one specific discipline with access to horses matching their skill level, competing on a regular basis at national and international levels. Candidates must be working for 2+ years with athletes in the context: Actively training for and competing at an equivalent level in the discipline with human athletes in one of the following stages of development: Train to Compete, Learn to Win, Train to Win. Eligibility will be determined on a case-by-case basis in consultation with the applicant and coach developer team. Competition Development Coaches are working with these equestrians to refine their show quality riding skills supported by exceptional fitness, psychological readiness and an integrated support team working towards podium success in Olympic and non-Olympic disciplines.
