English Competition Coach - Jump

Competition Coaches work with equestrians of all ages entering the competitive world of equestrian sport – at the EC Bronze and Silver show level. Competition Coaches are working with equestrians who are learning to cope with the physical and mental challenges of competition and develop further competitive skills. These coaches have the skills and training to support athletes physically, mentally, tactically and technically as they take the skills they have learned and learn to use them in competition. Competition Coaches use programs like Learn to Ride to complement their student development.

The following is required

1. Pre-Requisites (Required)

The following are required pre-requisites for the Certification Program: English Competition Coach - Jump
  Old English Rider Level III
  EC Learn To - English Rider Level 08 - With Jump
  Canadian Pony Club B
2. Equestrian Modules (Recommended)

The following live training modules are recommended in preparation to become certified.

  Ontario Equestrian Introduction to EC NCCP Certification
  NCCP Long-Term Equestrian Development
  NCCP Plan an Equestrian Practice
  NCCP Analyzing Beginner Equestrian Performance
  NCCP Analyze Competitive Performance (Pilot)
  Ontario Equestrian Preparing for EC NCCP Evaluation
  EC Lunging Foundations
  Ontario Equestrian English Evaluation Day Preparation Clinic
3. NCCP Multisport Modules (Recommended)

The following live training modules offered by the Coaches Association of Ontario are recommended in preparation to become certified. You will be taken to an external website to register.

  NCCP Make Ethical Decisions
  NCCP Teaching and Learning
  Basic Mental Skills
4. Online Evaluations (Required)

The following online evaluations must be completed to be certified. You will be taken to an external site to complete evaluations administered by the Coaching Association of Canada.

5. Evaluations (Required)

The following live evaluations must be completed to be certified. Evaluations may be done by video or in-person.
